HISTORY
A+M arquitectura, is an architecture and urbanism studio located in the Benasque Valley in charge of the architect, born in Villanova, Alba Barrau Castán(*), and the architect born in Bisaurri, Miriam Castel Cierco(*)
We were trained working in offices in Barcelona, until we decided to return home to continue developing as independent architects in our valley and surroundings.
(*)Alba Barrau is an architect by the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de La Salle ETSALS (2011).
Miriam Castel is an architect by the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona ETSAB (2016).
MISSION
Architecture that solves problems efficiently and simply.
The studio’s line of work is closely linked to the territory and nature, and consequently in our projects it is often the landscape, tradition and the environment (urban or natural) that influences our architecture.
Maximums: adaptation to the site, functionality, respect and care for details. We adapt each idea to the needs of our clients, developing each job individually.
We pay attention to energy efficiency and the choice of natural, sustainable and local materials.
